I have had hearing tests for 33 years.. Every time the audiology doctor/tech person opens the door of that “booth” I am sitting in and removes the headset/earpiece – the first thing I have said to them “when will the medical community develop a true life hearing test”. Second thing I ask “do you wear hearing aids or does a close friend or family member wear hearing aids?”

Thirty years of hearing tests in doctors office and the medical school and still the exact same test and never has the test mimicked real life daily hearing environments to reveal the true life abilities/disabilities in a person’s hearing world. Sad,
