Rae Henson

Hello ! I’m Rae Henson. I was born and raised in suburban of Chicago. I have been an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for twenty years. I graduated from RIT with a BSW in social work then went in to obtain my master’s in secondary education minoring in deaf education.

I have two loving daughters. One graduated last year from Arizona State University in journalism my youngest just entered ASU majoring in psychology. My hobbies are animals (I want to rescue all lol ), quilting, reading , traveling and hiking.

My mode of communication is ASL and PSE. I also use spoken language. I’m working on getting my CDI (Certified Deaf Interpreter) certificates. Just waiting for training to be posted . I lived in Arizona for 27 years before moving to Colorado. I thought I escaped from the heat and living on the western side of Colorado feels like I never left Lol. I have now lived in Colorado for two years! Such a beautiful state! Looking forward to help answer questions you may have.
