Hello! A little bit about myself, I was born into a hearing family of 4. I was born hearing and lost my hearing due to pneumonia. My parents became involved with my being deaf and navigating the journey together as a family. My family learned MSS (Morphemic Sign System) which is like signed exact English. Sign language was my first language until I was 4-5 years old. I got a cochlear implant and I learned to listen and read lips. I finally learned ASL in high school and started to interact with my old deaf friends and picked it up faster.

I lived in Texas until 2018 and I moved here to Colorado Springs for an opportunity to work with deaf kids. I love working with kids and sharing my story and being a Deaf role model. I enjoy traveling, socializing with my friends, and visiting my family.

My biggest passion is working with families and Deaf/Hard of Hearing children by sharing my story and teaching sign language.
