Leigh Widick

Leigh Widick is a dedicated advocate for the deaf community and survivors of domestic violence in Northern Colorado and the Denver metro area, through which she helps develop skills and understanding to help improve daily life. Leigh has been involved with all ages and groups throughout the community. Whether volunteering for youth athletics or speaking with students from local elementary and middle schools, Leigh is dedicated to expanding knowledge and interaction with the deaf community.

In addition to hosting workshops ranging from coping skills with children to scrapbooking for D.O.V.E. (Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment) for domestic violence survivors within the deaf community, Leigh is an active member in community softball leagues, was a member of the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen women’s softball team and is a six-time N.S.A.D (National Softball Association for the Deaf) tournament champion. Leigh is a mother of two busy boys that help fill her free time with adventure. Coming from a family of ten, Leigh learned early responsibility and dedication will get you far. Leigh looks forward to building relationships and empowering the deaf community and its allies.
