Hello! My name is Sara Robinson and I live in Colorado Springs. I was identified with a mild hearing loss when I was in first grade and did not pass the school hearing screening. My hearing loss has progressed over time and I wear bilateral hearing aids. I love my hearing aids and all the extra sounds I hear with them, but I especially love my sparkly purple earmolds. I communicate using spoken language but really like visual supports to help my understanding (especially since COVID!).
Professionally, I work as a speech-language pathologist specializing in working with children who are Deaf and hard of hearing. I love being able to connect with children and families around our shared experiences. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (I have 7 total nieces and nephews), running, reading, doing puzzles and enjoying coffee.
